Laundromat Chronicles- Addict by Angie Merriam

The 2nd Book in the Laundromat Chronicles Series is LIVE!

Jewel is the good time girl, until she wakes up in a hospital bed barely alive. Years of drug abuse has left her broken, but Jewel is determined to have a second chance at life.

After intensive rehab she is finally clean and on her own. For the first time in her life she’s independent of men and drugs. When she meets Ruby at the local Laundromat she has no idea how much her life is about to change.

Can Jewel survive the clean life or will her past come back to drown her, proving she's nothing more than an addict?

This is the second book in the Laundromat Chronicles series. I loved being able to get more of Jewel's ( Cara's) feelings and reactions to what was happening. It helped me understand more of what is was and is going through with her recovery. I'm loving this kind of series where we are getting more background on the characters before the longer story that ties them all together, instead of the other way around. I will give this book 5 stars because it is a really good book and deserves all of them.
