I was given an audiobook copy for review. Ever since I heard about Sawyer Bennett and I found out about this book I wanted to read it. I have never "read" an audiobook before, this was a very different experience for me. I thought I needed to actually see the words of a book but this turned out very enjoyable. I loved this book but I don't think I could not love anything that Sawyer writes. I met Matt when I reviewed Clash, Grind and Yield: A Legal Affair Novel. Those were the first books of Sawyer's that I had ever read. I loved them and wanted to read more of Sawyer's books.
I loved this book. It gave me a lot of background on Matt,Mac and Marissa. Lee Samuels did a great job voicing Matt. It was kinda weird having him voice the female parts but he did a great job with that too. It was recorded very well. Through the 12 hours of the book I only heard the turning of pages once. When I heard I first thought it was an effect but I then realized what it was and it didn't really bug me. I don't know how many ways I can say I loved this book. Matt is so cocky especially in the beginning but his cockiness is knocked down a few pegs by the end of the book. It fits him though. I was kinda confused by the end of the book but I think I need to read the rest of the Legal Affairs series and it might make sense to me. I rate this book 5 stars, of course. I think I'll be looking for more audiobooks to "read" this one was kinda fun and very enjoyable.
